Gold Quill IABC Communication Camp for Senior School Publication Editors Offered

The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines, the leading PR and communication industry group with a global network of 14,000 practitioners, invited senior editors of student publications to a three-day journalism training seminar that was held on July 7-9 last year, 2008.

The training seminar, called ComCamp, was offered at no cost to 30-50 senior editors from the same number of colleges and universities in Metro Manila and other major cities. It was conducted at the SBC Hotel at Estrada St. near St. Benilde and de la Salle - Taft in Malate, Manila. IABC officials and staff will be stayed with the students for the duration of the three-day and two-night seminar and the field trip to print and broadcast offices. While journalistic skills and values were the emphasis of the seminar, there were modules on corporate communication, PR and advertising.
